Why North Coast Lending Backed Mid North Coast Rugby in 2023

At North Coast Lending, we are passionate about supporting local sports, and in 2023, we were proud to back Mid North Coast Rugby. The growth of rugby in our region has been incredible, particularly with increased investment in junior rugby and women’s rugby. Seeing firsthand the dedication of coaches, players, and supporters, we knew we wanted to be part of the movement driving the game forward.

Rugby has always had a strong grassroots foundation, and the calibre of the people involved in developing and nurturing the sport is evident. Their passion and commitment have led to greater opportunities for players, and we’ve seen this dedication translate to representation at the highest levels of the game—a true testament to the strength of the Mid North Coast Rugby Community.

From a first-grade perspective, 2023 was an exciting year. We saw the resurgence of Coffs and Grafton, the continued strength of Port and Kempsey, and while the Vikings and Marlins may not have had the seasons they hoped for, there’s no doubt they will be back stronger than ever next year. At the southern end of the zone, the return of the Clams and their partnership with Gloucester Women’s Rugby proved that where there’s a will, there’s a way!

As the season wrapped up, we congratulated all the teams who made it to their grand finals—an incredible achievement that reflects the hard work and dedication of everyone involved. Supporting Mid North Coast Rugby aligns with our belief in building a strong and connected community, and we are excited to see what the future holds for rugby in our region.
